Growing flooring company has a Flooring Quality Control position available now in our San Diego location. Individual will use their own reliable vehicle to travel to job site and will ensure that jobs are installed per specifications and within industry standards. Candidates for this position must have previous experience in wood, carpet, vinyl and plank flooring. Bi-lingual fluent English/Spanish speaking is a PLUS! He or she must have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for working with variety of personalities. Good written communication skills, time management, professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. This position is located in San Diego, CA but jobs will vary.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards. - Conducts field audits and job site/safety inspections. - Makes repairs onsite as necessary. - Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction. - Respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues. - Communicates with installers to insure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements to maintain high quality job standards. - Work with account representatives in various departments to insure that complete and proper information is provided for work assignments. - Perform physical job walks for accuracy - Write reports on Quality Control - Insure all Safety rules are adhered to - Insure dress codes are addressed with installers - Helping with installers load out. - Helping in the warehouse as needed. - Other duties assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years’ experience flooring installation experience.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs - Forklift license a plus. - Basic computer skills with experience using email and preferably, spreadsheets. - Personal vehicle and must be able to meet company driving and insurance requirements - Quality assurance: 1 year (Preferred)
